The Data Source Salesforce.com is used to connect and transfer data to/from Salesforce.com CRM and Force.com based applications.
Additional Installation
You need to allow network access to your Salesforce.com instance for RapidiOnline.
Login to your Salesforce.com and go to Setup -> Security Controls -> Network Access and add the following IP address 64.94.234.38 as Start address and 64.94.234.49 as End address. The addresses will show up as "Internap Network Services" / "Rails Machine, LLC" in "Atlanta, GA, United States" (which is our hosting partner).
Configuration
The fields of the Salesforce.com Data Source Card are described as follows:
- Description: Enter a text describing the Data Source.
- UserID: Here you specify the UserID you created when you where registered at Salesforce.com
- Password: Here you specify the Password to your Salesforce.com login.
- Save Password (encrypted): If you check this option (default), then RapidiOnline will encrypt and save the password entered above. This enables you to run transfers manually and also lets you run transfers scheduled.
- Use SSL: If this field is marked (default) the connection between RapidiOnline and Salesforce.com will happen through SSL.
- Sandbox: Check this field if you need to access a salesforce.com sandbox.
